*A verse  on the Forehead of the Revolution – Dr. Zaher Baadarani 

*Title: "They Hear the Word of Allah, Then Distort It"*

Allah says: *“Do you then hope that they would believe in you, while a party of them used to hear the word of Allah then they would distort it after they had understood it, and they knew what they were doing.”* (Qur’an)

This verse shows the deep gap between two groups: one that chose to support a regime of killing and oppression in Syria, and another that stood firmly for truth and the oppressed people, taking a clear stance from the first drop of blood spilled.

This verse gives comfort to all of us in the Syrian opposition—if our opposition and stances are sincerely for Allah, not for personal interests or gains.

Do you hope they’ll believe in you (and follow your revolution), when a group of them (regime loyalists, propagandists, palace merchants, corrupt scholars, etc.) hear Allah’s words but distort them knowingly?

They know Allah said:
- “Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters.”
- “Allah does not love the oppressors.”
- “Indeed, Allah does not love the disbelievers.”
- “Indeed, Allah does not love transgressors.”
- “Indeed, Allah does not love traitors.”
- “Do not be excessive. Indeed, He does not love the wasteful.”
- “Indeed, Allah does not like the prideful.”
- “Allah does not like every arrogant boaster.”
- “Allah does not like public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged.”

All these verses perfectly apply to the Syrian regime and all who support falsehood and stand against the truth and its people.
