God forbade exile. The Prophet faced forced displacement, but divine justice promised return. The Syrian displaced share this path, with hope in justice and eventual victory.
A Verse on the Forehead of the Revolution
Title: “And do not expel yourselves from your homes”
Allah says: "And [remember] when We took your covenant: Do not shed your blood or expel yourselves from your homes..."
God forbade injustice and bloodshed and also prohibited forced displacement. This verse reflects the betrayal of that covenant when people began killing and exiling one another.
The Prophet Muhammad himself endured forced expulsion from his homeland, and the Quran records the stages of that oppression:
1. Threat & provocation: “They nearly drove you out of the land...”
2. Plotting & scheming: “They planned to imprison, kill, or expel you...”
3. Divine preparation: “My Lord, cause me to enter and exit with truth...”
4. Victory during exile: “God supported him when the disbelievers expelled him...”
5. Justice promised: “How many a town stronger than yours have We destroyed...”
6. Promise of return: “Surely, He who imposed the Qur’an on you will bring you back...”
This mirrors the Syrian people’s forced displacement and assures that divine justice will prevail.
