God forbade bloodshed and condemned killing. Deliberate murder leads to Hell. In Syria, those who supported the regime and harmed innocents violated divine covenants.
Verse on the Forehead of the Revolution – Dr. Zaher Baadarani
Title: “You shall not shed your blood”
Allah says: “And [recall] when We took your covenant: Do not shed your [own] blood or evict one another from your homes. Then you acknowledged it while you were witnessing. Yet, you are the ones who kill one another and evict a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression…”
This verse confirms that God took a firm covenant from believers not to spread corruption, including shedding blood. The Quran strongly condemns killing, especially of fellow believers.
In the Syrian context, the relevance is profound. Those who kill, displace, and assist tyrants betray divine commands.
God also says: “It is not for a believer to kill another believer except by mistake… and whoever kills a believer intentionally, his reward is Hell…”
Even accidental killing carries penalties: freeing a believing slave and paying blood money unless forgiven.
Intentional killing, however, earns God’s anger, curse, and eternal punishment.
