Whoever supported the Syrian regime bears the sin; and those persisting in loyalty and service are fully enveloped by their transgression and bound for the Fire, as the verse warns.

“The Sin and the Transgression”
God said: “Yes, whoever earns a sin and is enveloped by his transgression—those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.”
This verse calls for self-honesty. Everyone who supported or aided the Syrian regime in any capacity—whether scholars, merchants, officers, writers, or commoners—has earned the first part of this verse: “earned a sin.” But the greatest disaster is for one whose wrongdoing continues today—through allegiance, wealth, influence, speech, or action—making him fall under the full warning of the verse: “earned a sin and was surrounded by his transgression… in the Fire eternally.”
