Humility is a prophetic virtue that leads to honor. Syria’s revolutionaries must embrace it, set aside pride and division, and unite around truth and the greater good for lasting victory.
A verse on the Forehead of the Revolution
With the Head of the Syrian Future Movement, Dr. Zaher Baadarani
Episode Title: "Whoever humbles himself to Allah, Allah will raise him."
Verse of the Day:
“And enter the gate prostrating and say, ‘Relieve us!’ We will forgive your sins and increase [reward] for the doers of good.” (Quran)
Today's topic is humility, based on the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ saying:
“Whoever humbles himself for Allah, Allah will raise him.”
Humility lies between arrogance and humiliation. A believer is neither humiliated nor arrogant. Allah said:
“And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers.”
The Prophet ﷺ embodied humility: he would milk goats, mend his sandals, patch clothes, eat with his servants, shop himself, greet everyone, shake hands, and treat all equally.
One of his most profound acts of humility was entering Mecca with his head lowered so much that his chest touched his mount.
Humility is a sign of a pure soul. It builds love, equality, and unity. A poet said:
“If you seek greatness, be gentle, humble, and avoid pride.”
In today’s revolution, we need humility to place public interest above personal gain. Al-Fudayl ibn ‘Iyad said: *“Humility is submitting to the truth even from a child or the most ignorant.”*
Abu Bakr (RA) said:
*“Let no one belittle another; the young may be great before Allah.”*
Allah says:
*“That home of the Hereafter We assign to those who do not desire exaltedness upon the earth nor corruption. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous.”*
And the Prophet ﷺ said:
*“The arrogant will be resurrected on Judgment Day as tiny ants in human form, humiliated from every direction.”*
*Verse:*
*“Say: ‘Relieve us,’ and We will forgive your sins and reward the righteous more.”*
