We firmly reject any future political involvement by the army, armed forces, or security and intelligence agencies. These institutions must be fully removed and distanced from political practices or holding political office. We reject their interference in any political competition or national process and oppose any political exploitation of intelligence services against other political actors.
The military’s role must be strictly limited to defending the state and its sovereignty against external threats. Their responsibilities should be confined to border protection and the safeguarding of national security, with the possibility of contributing to humanitarian or emergency relief operations in disaster situations.
We reject deploying the military in response to peaceful and civil popular movements. Troop presence in provinces, cities, or towns must only occur under specific, temporary parliamentary authorization.
