As battles between the regime and revolutionaries intensified without external intervention, we built a civil structure to integrate with military efforts, aiming for political solutions.
During the intense military confrontations between Assad’s regime and the revolutionaries, especially in the first two years when the battles were confined between them without the involvement of external (global or regional) powers, we realized the necessity to build an organizational structure that gathers civilians (non-combatants) and directs them to create useful integration between civil and military activities, aiming for the revolution’s primary goal of overthrowing the Syrian regime.
We were aware that our struggle would be prolonged and that wars, no matter how long they last, ultimately lead to a set of political solutions. We aspire for the Movement to be a key player in this process.
