- We believe that the religious institution needs to be rescued from political exploitation and restructured. We call for a complete separation between the Ministry of Religious Endowments (Awqaf) and the General Fatwa Council, preventing the latter from political interference and security manipulation. We also stress the need to reinstate the position of muftis across the Syrian Republic—covering the five recognized Islamic schools of thought—and appoint muftis in all provinces and cities, respecting sectarian and religious diversity.
- We believe in the importance of intellectual guidance and presenting visions and ideas. Therefore, we propose the creation of a Supreme Advisory Council of Elders for the state, without authority over the executive, legislative, or judicial branches. Its role would be to provide non-binding counsel, monitor shortcomings, build on strengths, and benefit from the plurality of perspectives.
