Our primary goal is to establish the pillars and principles of a state where officials are freely elected, held accountable, and subject to the rule of law—ensuring an independent judiciary, separation of powers, and a government that acts as a representative, not a replacement, of the people. The state must manage public services and infrastructure.
The presidency is a public function where any president serves the people rather than rules them. It is a temporary mandate and delegation of authority granted by the people.
We believe the presidential term should be limited to five years, renewable only once. The powers of the president must be constitutionally restricted.
One of the core issues in modern Syrian governance is the lack of clear constraints and limitations on presidential authority—a flaw that has fueled instability to this day.
