Promoting national consensus and accord is a fundamental pillar of any political system and a key to achieving constitutional legitimacy.

We believe in difference, not discord, and in political pluralism, not repetitive replicas.

We consider this diversity a source of national richness and citizen empowerment.

We reject the idea of a single ruling party.

We see that national consensus can only emerge through a unifying social contract that governs political forces via agreement on a unified and unifying political system.

We believe that the absence of consensus on a specific political system leads to confrontation, fragmentation of national unity, uncertainty, and the paralysis of institutions.

We believe that overcoming political disputes is only possible by reaching a state of consensus on a national constitutional contract.

We stress the need to prioritize achieving consensus on a political system that regulates the national political relationship.

This should be a major concern for thinkers, ideologues, and political forces alike.

We consider success in reaching such consensus a pivotal challenge for all Syrian elites.

We believe that agreement on constitutional legitimacy provides reassurance to all political forces that they will not be subject to future revenge through coups or conspiracies.

We consider all Syrians calling for national consensus as true partners in both purpose and the national path, regardless of their orientations or references.

We attribute one of the main reasons behind the Syrian revolution in 2011 to the lack of national agreement among political forces, due to the dominance of the Assad regime on one hand, and the collapse of consensus between the authority and the people on the other.

We affirm the right of all components of the Syrian people to form new political blocs that participate in public affairs, engage in the national consensus, propose mechanisms for its continuity, and ensure that their fears are respected, not suppressed or fought.

We emphasize the distinction between destructive discord and constructive difference.
Discord prevents agreement on a real social contract.

Constructive difference is any diversity that stems from the shared foundation of agreement on the political system and constitutional legitimacy.

We stress the necessity of constitutional supremacy and its importance in framing the agreement between Syrian political forces.

We reject foreign guardianship or the denial of the Syrians’ right to agree on a constitution that earns genuine national internal legitimacy.

We believe that national consensus alone is capable of pulling Syria out of its crisis.

It is a clear sign of the Syrians’ ability to govern themselves.

We consider national consensus the safest and best way to offer real solutions to shared national issues, whether political, economic, social, or related to human rights.

We regard success in reaching political consensus as a real achievement and a national gain for the Syrian revolution.

We believe that reaching a stage of consensus on a binding contract is the only guarantee to protect the state from collapse, weakness, and disintegration.

We place our trust in the role of all national Syrians, from all regions and political currents, considering them the healthy carriers and popular backbone for achieving our goal of national consensus.

We view the future with a deep understanding of the present, in a determined effort to break the current rigidity among political forces.

Therefore, our steadfast political stance stems from the interest of achieving consensus and accord around a comprehensive Syrian national political system.
