"Syrian holidays reflect cultural and religious diversity, enhancing national unity and tolerance among different communities".

Every nation has its own customs, traditions, and deeply rooted culture.

The more diverse they are, the greater the cultural wealth they offer to the country and society—provided that all components of the people reconcile with them.

The Syrian people are diverse in their religions, sects, ethnicities, and traditions.

They must get to know each other well, so they may share in these celebrations and holidays throughout the year, as a form of shared living (with love and dignity), not mere coexistence that requires "desperate effort" as if it were a burden.

We consider religious, national, and popular holidays an essential part of Syria’s cultural and national identity.

We view them as a factor of unity and cohesion, not division and fragmentation.

We reject marginalization and exclusion.

We call for the representation of the diverse Syrian cultural components and the acknowledgment of their holidays and celebrations.

We believe that the Syrian state should support popular diversity and regard it as a distinguished cultural treasure.

Thus, we work to ensure that the state and civil society participate in all popular holidays, whether national or religious, as an essential means of enhancing national unity and promoting a culture of tolerance and mutual understanding among Syria's diverse cultural groups.

We support the Syrian people's right to express their holidays and celebrations, and to reflect their culture, and we reject any form of restriction or repression under any circumstances.

We strive to make all Syrian people’s holidays official, and for their celebrations to be broadcast on official Syrian media.

This contributes to mutual awareness among Syrians and constitutes a national duty, not a favor or privilege.

We differentiate between recognizing holidays as official and assigning official public holidays for each of them.

We believe the decision to grant public holidays should be subject to the Syrian Parliament.

We consider it the state's duty to preserve and support cultural heritage and traditions related to popular holidays.

We stress the importance of maintaining safety and security during all Syrian holidays.

We believe it is the state’s responsibility to provide financial and logistical support necessary for organizing all popular holidays.

We emphasize the need to raise public awareness about the importance of popular holidays and the values and traditions associated with them.

We encourage all Syrians, of every background, to participate in all popular holidays, especially those rooted in their historical and geographical regions.

We believe it is necessary to protect the environment during all popular celebrations.

We believe in the role of the state and civil society in supporting the arts, writers, and cultural expressions associated with popular holidays.
