One of our goals is to promote the idea that “caring for environmental safety leads to the safety of citizens' lives, their economy, their health, their resources, the beauty of life around them, and the attraction of tourists to their country.”

We believe in the role of civil society in protecting and preserving the environment, and in its important role in raising Syrian awareness about the importance of environmental preservation and how to achieve it, while also pressuring the authorities to enact laws for its protection and to oversee their implementation.

We aim to provide all available information about environmental dangers and encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly behaviors.

We emphasize the need to contribute to the development of environmental policies and laws for environmental protection.

We consider the concept of shared responsibility as a general framework that requires the cooperation of all international environmental actors, and we believe that Syria must participate in such international organizations like the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and others.

We call for adherence to international environmental laws and agreements, and for making them the standard for procedures and measures aimed at preserving the environment and addressing the threat of catastrophic pollution.

We emphasize the necessity of balancing national interests with environmental benefits without negatively affecting economic development.

We call for avoiding the use of force to protect the environment and for relying on international negotiation to resolve environmental disputes.

We seek to deliver to future generations a world that is neither polluted nor destroyed.
Therefore, we reject any project that may bring immediate benefit but causes long-term environmental harm.

We call for a special agreement among Mediterranean countries regarding environmental protection and natural resources, similar to other international agreements.

We believe in the necessity of eliminating chemical and nuclear weapons throughout the region, as they pose a threat to both humanity and the environment.

We work to raise individuals’ awareness of their important role in protecting the environment and reducing pollution, such as reducing resource consumption, recycling and waste treatment, using alternative transportation, participating in environmental campaigns such as cleaning public places and beaches, thinking in a sustainable environmental way, and pressuring authorities to reduce pollution.

We believe in civil society’s role in confronting environmental challenges by establishing and supporting scientific research centers to propose environmental solutions, encouraging media bodies to adopt environmental awareness messages, including environmental content in school and university curricula, pressuring authorities to enact strict environmental laws, and regulating pollutant levels and natural resource use.

We believe that environmental preservation must begin with equal protection for both current and future generations.
