We aim to prioritize knowledge and education and to study the Syrian reality accurately, in pursuit of comprehensive recovery in the education sector.

We consider the Syrian reality, regardless of causes and factors, a dark situation that requires urgent rescue, and we have chosen, instead of cursing the darkness, to be a source of light.

Therefore, we have contributed—within our means—in northern Syria to the field of education and in offering what benefits and builds the thinking of the Syrian citizen, who is the pillar of both the present and future.

We believe in the necessity of linking Syrian awareness with its scientific history, beginning with the establishment of the “Ministry of Knowledge” in 1918, which was managed by prominent scientific and national figures such as Sati' Al-Husri and Muhammad Kurd Ali.

It later became the “Ministry of Education and Teaching” during the union with Egypt, and then its name changed to the “Ministry of Education” in 1966, tasked with overseeing pre-university education.

That same year witnessed the creation of a separate Ministry for Higher Education.

We believe in the need to continue the historic struggle of Syrians in raising the standard of education in Syria.

We see the necessity of increasing the education budget, whether for pre-university or higher education and making it a top financial priority over any other budget, with full transparency and protection from corruption.

We work with Syrian forces and elites to raise the level of education in Syria, aiming to bring it to the ranks of advanced nations.

We emphasize the need to link Syrian educational institutions with those of developed countries, to benefit from their experience, and to eventually reach global excellence in the field of education.

We see that the most accessible domain for Syrians—away from fierce international conspiracies or vulgar political disputes—is the educational sector.

That is why we give it our utmost attention and believe in our ability to rapidly excel and reach record levels if we harness it properly and use it in our favor.

We attach great importance to the teaching staff from two perspectives:

1. The necessity of increasing their salaries and incentives.

2. The creation of an academic cadre connected to international universities and advanced scientific centers.

We believe in balancing public and private education, and then making private education accessible to all Syrians through state support and international organizations funding such initiatives.

We believe that the education sector must not be politicized and should remain independent from any political, ideological, or doctrinal interference.

We stress the need to activate the true role of the Teachers’ Union and the Students’ Union, especially at the university level, and to revitalize union activity as a whole to identify shortcomings, correct them, and present constructive proposals.

We strive to provide easy and accessible access to written, spoken, visual, and audio information for both educators and learners, as it represents one of the most significant factors for improving performance and elevating the educational process.

We see the necessity of securing the scientific and logistical infrastructure required for schools at all stages and universities in all branches, and of providing the necessary materials through development programs, aid, or proposing new projects.

We see the need to promote both material and moral incentives for students, especially in elementary stages, as a step toward solving the school dropout problem and initiating recovery in the foundational levels of education.

We emphasize the importance of spreading awareness campaigns about the value of knowledge and learning, and of making it a widely embraced social consciousness.

We encourage promoting a culture of free competition within the education sector through what is called “advocacy campaigns” and consider it an important tool for positive impact.
